As a women, you hate to be obvious.  No one wants to be like that girl in 10th grade that knew she had the best body and always wanted to get into her bikini.  Annoying.  However, as a woman, you also can’t help but like yourself in certain fashion items, and you ladies know one of our favorite things to wear…shorts!  You have to wait anxiously for Easter every year, but it’s the final countdown and time to pick the shorts of 2010.  Love these from J.Crew.  The have some shape while still looking pretty casual.

Yesterday was the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, and we’re celebrating by admitting our short summer secret.  Cutoffs.  Sure Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson almost ruined them for everyone, but we still have a strange desire to wear them.  While we do not believe that cutoffs are appropriate past the age of 22 under most circumstances, if you are on a lake  / in a boat, cutoffs, a white v-neck t-shirt, and aviators still makes you feel cool.  Ugh!  It makes us cringe to admit it.  But even eMum look cool in that.  What do you think – is there something about long summer days that makes you want to cut off your shorts?

As you all know, we love summer time outfits – and there is no summer outfit more fun than white shorts.  We believe it was Keats that said, “How do we love thee white short?  Let us count the ways (to style you).”  Speaking of styling – get short with a long gold necklace.  We happen to think that super short shorts and super long necklaces look great together!  Check out this one from Essex. 

Ahhh it’s late February – and that means it’s spring in Georgia!  One thing we love love love about spring is really short white shorts.  Now, obvi you can’t pull the white ones out until after Easter, and 50′s are not quite warm enough to bare your (soon to be tan) legs.  But it’s definitely time to peruse  them in the stores!
