Reader Mo and I are sadly back from our lil jaunt to Sea Island for lil SB 2k11. However, we come bearing tips for boozing at the beach! As you all know, we love ourselves some red wine. However, in the summer and on the coast – a light little white can hit the spot. Oh but you hate Chardonnay? No worries, try Casal Grande Vinho Verde. Sort of a less sweet and less bubbly prosecco. Perfect for this wonderful weather!
Saturday, while waiting in line to pay $25 for a pink Sea Island visor, two things happened. Noticed emum perusing $60 Sea Island beach bags, while reaching down into the purse and remembering the existence of a pink Sea Island keychain. Considering the strongest personal tie to Sea Island is a stint on Junior Staff in college, the thought occurred, “should one feel comfortable with a compelling urge to buy lots of Sea Island branded material? And what does that say about one’s self?” So, fair readers, what do you think? Does it make you look chic and nonchalant to run down Peachtree Battle with a pink Sea Island visor, or does it make you look like the Emperor just took a vacation?
