Eat. Pray. Love.

Three words – they sound so easy, yet they can be so difficult.  For all of you out there that love Julia Roberts as much as this Mystic Pizza loving 80s baby, let’s hear it.  What did you think about Eat Pray Love?  Did it make you want to jump for women’s lib joy?  Did it make you feel the travel freedom that comes from lifting your glass any place that doesn’t speak English?  Or did it make you want to Drink, Imbitter, Dislike (kinda like the Bachelor Pad makes us feel)?  For all of you out there that “just want to marvel at something,” did Eat Pray Love put the skip back in your travel bug prone little self?  Or did it feel more like food poisoning, church retreat, and the defeat of the 7th grade dance?

“Sometimes You Just Have to Get Away with The Girls”

As we learned from our girls, Charlotte, Samantha, Miranda, and Carrie…”Sometimes you just have to get away with the girls”.  It’s not Abu Dhabi, but Readers Elinor, Melby, Edykes and elaney are headed to Costa Rica for 8 days.  But don’t worry…the elaney interns will take good care of you while we’re gone.  Here’s what you have to look forward to:

Monday:  Reader Ace
Tuesday:  Reader ct
Wednesday:  Reader Mo
Thursday:  Reader JLAL
Friday:  Reader Isa

We will miss you!  And we can’t lie…we are afraid of being without bberry / email / elaney for 8 days…but we will take lots of pics and post them when we’re home.  Pura Vida!

Hot (Or Cold) in Herre; alt title, Little Things That Give Away You Have All Brothers and No Sister

“I like when you can go from something crass and stupid to something very smart.”  - John Cusack

Perhaps John Cusack is the male version of an elaney girl (we’d sub “crass and stupid” with “silly and fun”).  Today is the day for Hot Tub Time Machine.  When we told our co-workers we kinda wanted to see it, they politely suggested we not tell anyone else that.  So…here’s the question:  coming off of your The Hangover, and perhaps a little more open to the ridiculousness of movies like this (don’t try to say you didn’t like Wedding Crashers), do you kinda want to see Hot Tub Time Machine?

Reply as Evite Would Want You To:

Yes!  Turn the Heat Up
Maybe – The feeling is Lukewarm
No Way.  Brrr…What is Wrong with You elaney?

Best Rainy Movies Of All Time

Everyone has days when you wake up, hit your alarm to snooze, skip spin class, and wear your hair wavy.  As Atlantans know, today’s weather makes you want to listen to Belle & Sebastian, drink hot tea, and cuddle up on the couch and watch movies during the day.  And do laundry. (loooove to do laundry.  Love the way clean laundry feels, smells, love the way the house feels when the washing machine and dishwasher are running.  Love it love it love it).  But alas, work calls.  However, if you WERE at home and COULD watch a movie during the day, what are your favorite movies to watch over and over and over again?

On the Fifth Day of Christmas…

You bust out old Chevy!  Christmas movies!  What a joy for all.  There are so many good ones out there, but because [insert 2 twins related to elaney that have given us a strict order to stop mentioning them on the blog - exact words "laney you are unprofessional"] looked just like little Macauley Culkin, Home Alone is our runaway (or should we say “left behind”) favorite.  Other top contenders…The Santa Clause, The Holiday, and Christmas Vacation (duh).  We know you wanna answer…what are yours?untitled
