Do you think Meredith gets jealous?

Ah fall of 2005.  Remember when we couldn’t get enough of our friend Meredith Gray?  Her self-indulgent rants made our Sunday nights worth waiting up for.  So what happened to Meredith Gray??  Is she no longer interesting?  It seems to me that Izzie now gets all of the attention.  I mean, Meredith got married this fall too!

It’s true.  Ellen Pompeo got a little cocky when Grey’s got big, but I say we all forgive her.  I like Katherine Heigl as much as the next guy, but I miss Ellen, and I want her back in the tabloid news.

Are you excited to see "27 Dresses?"

Ah, the romantic comedy.  We have such a love / hate relationship with the genre.  On the one hand, it brought us timeless classics like “Mystic Pizza” and “When Harry Met Sally.”  On the other hand, it also brought us “Shall We Dance?” (i.e. “Shall we drink hemlock rather than endure the slow death to all creativity that is this movie?”).   So when a RomCom comes out, we think maybe we’ll like it if it has an edge to it (re: “Knocked Up”), but we’d probably rather watch “The Breakfast Club” on TNT for the 1,000th time (something we really don’t want to do that much either) than payto see a new snoozer.

However, “27 Dresses” looks (and I’m sort of embarrassed to admit this) kind of cute.  Most movies that take place in NYC are somewhat engaging, and Mrs. Heigl-Kelly is obviously the big thing right now.  Of course James Marsden makes me feel like I just drank a bottle of Pepto-Bismol, but Edward Burns is awesome!  So what do you think…is “27 Dresses” going to be a hit?!?

UPDATE:  Thanks to the anonymous direction of 3rd year well-read and well-spoken Georgetown law student, we realized we incorrectly labeled a “RomCom” a “RoCo.”  Consider it corrected.  Thanks goodness we have such bright young talent in our future!
