Check out this DVF “Shalom” dress. Hello to royal purple and short lengths, goodbye to no waistline that makes you look plump (or in this case, like a plum). Dresses like this are so tempting, as you imagine then sparkled up with gold jewels and tall heels and on the NYE dance floor. However, like NYE, this dress looks like it might over promise and under deliever. What do you think? Does the “Shalom” mean ‘hello’ or ‘goodbye’?

1. That title might’ve been a bit of a strech
2. You can never be too rich, too thin, or have too many black dresses. Should you need a new one on major markdown, check out this DVF for about $100.

Ladies, a word to the wise, it’s very important to look cute on your birthday. In fact, it’s very important to debut a new outfit on your birthday. We suggest: 1. a dress 2. a different cut than you normally wear 3. a funky pattern. Perhaps this DVF leopard print dress or silk jersey wrap dress!

And we have Little Black Dress addiction. They say the first step to recovery is admitting there is a problem, but you can only deny so long when you have 30 LBDs in your closet. What is it about you LBD? Why do you make us feel so sophisticated? And how can we be blamed for our addiction?!? When DVF makes an LBD, it’s like they’re serving wine in rehab! What do they think is going to happen? Check out this BEAUTIFUL DVF creation on sale!

When you are a bridesmaid, sure you have to buy the dress, but at least you know what to wear. When you’re a reader, you make the call. How do we know what’s approp? We think a solid color is the way to go, with the dress being something that looks nice accompaning the bridesmaids color, without being the same. For something like a blue bridesmaid’s dress, here’s a thought. Any suggestions?
