Sometimes you have your heart set on something, but life doesn’t always work out like you want it to. It is what it is. If Tory Burch boots allude you too, check out these cute Land’s End boots from Reader egray. They are $90 and a step up from the turquise Land’s End fleece you sported in fifth grade.

Boots are always hard for us to pick out. Actually, let’s take a “step” back. Boots are super easy to pick out. And usually, the ones we really want cost about oh…$495. However, the ones we can afford are a little more tricky. We’d love to hear your suggestions for boots under $150, but in the meantime, we share with you our Tory Burch selection from the wishlist!!

Reader CSR wants to know, “Riding boots ’09: with heel or without?!” We have to say we like them both. In fact, we don’t meet too many tall boots we don’t like. What do you think? For riding boots, do you like the heel? Or do the heels need to heel?

Can’t decide between getting the boot and giving the boot? Reader cpt pointed out yesterday that the vest is a bit like the ankle boot, so while we were at it, we decided to fully endorse said boot. We’ve already purchased ours and cannot wait to get them out of the closet for fall! eMum and the staff of elaney had a great time stomping around the house in Cabo in them – we can only wait to wear them out in the ATL! Verdict: get the boot!

Reader mb wants to know, “elaney, is it time to put up the tall black boots? Even though it’s cold in DC, May seems late for these decidedly winter shoes. What do you think?” Well, mb after a heated staff meeting, we’ve determined that May is in fact too late for tall, black boots. Sorry Northern readers – time to give in to the seasons you learned in kindergarten. Even if it doesn’t look like May or feel like May, it’s still May. It’s a no go. go. However, if you really can’t live without boots, try to open-toed! They might be awful, but they’re fun! Check out these.

Remember Christmas 2004 when you got Uggs before anyone else? Here’s your chance to do it again. Tom’s Shoes are sure to be the next hot eco-friendly footwear. And best of all, for every pair purchased, they donate a pair to a child in need. They’ve almost reached their goal of 30,000 for this holiday season, so help them out!

We want some low boots. Shoe ladies, help us out. Are these cute? We know they are kind of different, but they sort of remind us of tap shoes and 7th grade dance class. Which we like. What do you think?
