Not to be sexist, but female driven comedies are hard to pull off. So, we’re a little skeptical about Bride Wars, even though we love Kate and our old friend Anne. Pros: NYC, weddings at the Plaza. Cons: seems a little caricature-ish and gimmicky. After watching some of the press, we thought we might further research / consider giving it the old Sunday afternoon chance.

Told you so?!? Annie and her bf are donzo, he’s on his way to the slamma, and we’ve suspected all this for awhile. Follieri was arrested for alledgedly telling people he was the CFO of the Vatican and that he could get a discount on Catholic property. We’ve always liked Anne Hathaway (we even met her!), but lately we’re worried she’s getting too big for her britches. She is spending night after night at the Waverly Inn in NYC, and she keeps talking about how much male attention she gets (sooo Jessica Alba-ish). Plus, her man went on a spending spree using someone else’s money, and now he’s getting sued! The lawsuit says he’s being sued for, “The improper personal expenses included, among other things, excessive and inappropriate private jet travel for Follieri, his actress girlfriend, and his father.” We think they’ve got a little J.Lo 2003 syndrome. Anne, please don’t go to the dark side. Stay at home. Visit the Midwest. Drink tap water. Shop at Target. Please don’t lose your cuteness!
