Too Much of a Good Thing?

As the years go by, you start to do things you never thought you’d do. One would be: purchase a bathing suit with a big, Kim Kardashian-esque, gold hoop on it (we do maintain that this is a very classy version of the good hoop on bathing suit look). The second would be: consider a matching bathing suit and cover up look. After working at Sea Island for the summer in college and seeing enough families wearing matching Lily Pulitzer to want to poke out our eyeballs and wear black lipstick, we never thought we’d find ourselves in the matchy, matchy bathing suit category. However, gotta admit, kinda like this. What do you think? Is it uber cute and dainty or is too much Milly swimwear just too much of a good thing?

I have to say. Sisters in matching Lilly bathing suits is still cute even to those in Lilly detox mode.
Personally, I kinda like bathing suit top and bottoms that don’t match, so I don’t think I could do this matchy matchy outfit. But elaney is not surprised.

Very cute suit. I think the cover up is great too and totally fine to wear together.
I had a Lily overdose when I worked at a Lily store for a summer in college. Just this year I bought a pair of Lily pants for the first time since 2001.

Truth be told, readers want to see posted on this blog a pic of elaney in this suit reclining mid-waterfall. We trust that melby can arrange the photo op.

done. i will also have a large margarita in my hand. although reader melby will probably have a nice costa rican boy in his late tweens to early 20s on her arm which might make for a more interesting pic…
