Truce with Merideth Vieira
For most of our lives, we’ve loved Katie Couric. We love her cute style, her wit, her fun loving personality. How she says “New York women don’t wear panty hose.” She’s just so cool! And she made mornings for years and years so informed and interesting. Fast forward to Fall 2006. When Merideth Vieira came to the Today Show, we were not happy. We didn’t like how she always commented on Matt’s good looks (so awkward), her goofy jokes, how she always rolled up her notes and hit Al with them, but today…we’ve decided to offer a truce. Maybe it’s Joel McHale that has made the Today Show fun again, but you know what else, we like Merideth. She’s not perfect. She’ll never have Katie’s spot in our heart. But she’s not all bad. Even if she does wear panty hose. What do you think? Do you like Meredith?

and i like mer alright but sometimes i get really nervous that she’s going to say something so inappropriate that it almost makes watching her a little stressful…

I am still holding out for Meredith to come back to the View!! I love it when she is inappropriate – she doesn’t take her self too seriously and makes morning tv a little more interesting

I don’t watch morning talk shows, however it is hard for me to take her seriously with that stance she has her legs in here (she’s too old for that) and the open toed shoes? Does she need a stylist?

she’s not terrible, but i liked her better on the view. can we talk about how hideous the shoe/hose combo is in that picture though? (gag)

Open toed shoes = bad. Panty hose = bad. The combo = painfully bad. Now let’s talk about the poor color of her shirt and the frightening fact that I have just witnessed the discovery of something that is not navy AND does NOT go with black! Is it possible to look like a grandmother, a whore, AND have a stylist? Yeesh! Time for Mer to hand out that pink slip.

the photostylist did not help her case either. not very wise to put a pale lady wearing peach on an orange sofa.
