We’ve been looking forward to The Ugly Truth for awhile now, as the trailers started playing forever ago. Sure Kat Heigl is a little bit annoying, but she’s married to an Augusta boy, and we can’t lie, we liked 27 Dresses (sidebar, if you feel the need to start a sentence like this “hey, it’s kind of funny that your name is ‘Laney’ and her name is ‘Janey’ – about 27 people have beat you to it). But Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 13%! Ouch (less than half of 27). However, it also predicted Bride Wars to be horrible, and it was kind of fun. Maybe the ugly truth is that The Ugly Truth is a rental. Summer makes us feel a little more free with our clothing choices. We tend to get lax on blowdrying our hair and hear the calling of the college hippie skirts still in our closet (no, eMum we do not still wear them. yes, you’ve mentioned what you think about them. yes, we’re sure). Perhaps it’s summer that’s made these Mexican Tunic dresses peak our interest. Normally in the battle of tu-nic, or not tu-nic, we believe in waistline-waistline-waistline! But these Mexican Tunic dresses kind of make us what to Mex it up. What do you think?

After Reader notonthephone’s question about dating in the digital world created such an interesting conversation, we’ve decided to turn one of our favorite days around here, ask elaney day, (part 1 and part 2) into ask elaney: dating version. We at elaney have a love hate relationship with all things Tory Burch. Tory B just seems so obvious. Everyone has the flats; everyone recognizes the logo, but at the same time, you kind of like the flats. And you sort of want to sport the logo. It’s like a rich man’s Miley Cyrus. You don’t want to like it, but you kind of do. So after a rather public and controversial stance on the flats, we feel that there is no going back there. But Neiman M has all the bags 50% off. Is it time for a truce?! What do you think – TB bags: bag it or bag it up?
