Note to Self

elaney’s tip of the day:  a little fine stationary goes a long way.

Understand that we’ve written far more notes on cutesy red and white striped cards from Target – but every now and then, you need to write a note that looks like you know what you’re doing.  It’s a good idea to just bite the bullet and keep some Crane & Co. like paper in the top drawer.  People do check.  Big sale on NeimanMarcus.com – all fancy social papers are an extra 30% off

Channeling Your Inner Sandy

Okay, after the open toed boots incident, we know we should be walking a fine line with fashion – posting on high waisted skirts and ruffled blouses.  Talking about wearing neutrals and gold jewelry.  But…you already know we love to wear those.

(Cue michevious grin).

Is it bad that we kind of want to channel our inner Sandy Olsen from Grease with these David Lerner leggins?  Not like we’d ever really wear them…but…they’re kind of fun…and Neiman Marcus endorses them…thoughts?

Jon & Kate – Might Need to Wait

Never having seen Jon & Kate before, we viewed after reader ct raved about it.  Have to say, it was pretty heart breaking.  Not only is it difficult to imagine being that open at a dinner party – let alone on television – it’s just hard to imagine those cute kids discovering the resource that is “google” one day.  What do you think?  Do you still like Jon & Kate, or do you think it’s time for Jon & Kate to Wait on filming?

Long Black Cover (It All) Up_2

A post about a cover up the day after Memorial Day weekend may be too little too late, but at the 11th hour, we discovered the long black, inexpensive cover up we’ve been searching for all season.  If you are still looking for one, get it at Target for under $30.

Carter Woolfolk:  “Laney, you know what I don’t really get about you?  This whole ‘elaney alter ego thing.’”
Laney:  “Carter, it’s not an ‘alter ego.’  It’s a playful look at what happens to your inner 16 year old when she grows up.”
Carter Woolfolk:  “Huh.  Well it reminds me of the ‘Shermanator’ from American Pie.”
