Reader g-love’s last comment just reminded us of a woman -specific experience of finding a food you believe to be healthy and ultimately discovering that it is NOT. What did you foolishly devour, only to later discover you’d just eaten the kitchen sink?

One time we heard on Oprah that women get the majority of their fat and calories from salad dressing. That sounds a little bit like an early nineties – TAB infused – high-cut hip leotard statistic, but just in case, it’s probably worth finding a healthy alternative. Try this dressing from Vermont based Maple Grove Farms. All of their dressings are delicious, but this one is just tart enough for almost any mixture of salad. Bon appetit!

Fair maiden atheletes, do tell: what do you think about the running dress?

There is something redeeming about big bags and sunglasses. The exorbitant prices feel a little less offensive, perhaps because you get a litle more material (?). It’s like you’re getting a little more what you deserve. In fact, every now and then, we think to ourselves, “You know what would make us feel better (assuming the frivoulous trip to Target has not worked)…A really big bag.” Try this one by Antik Batik – $200 off.

“Can God be any less good to me on the average Tuesday morning than he was on that monumental Friday afternoon when he hung on a cross in my place? The answer is a resounding NO. God will not be less good to me tomorrow either, because God cannot be less good to me. His goodness is not the effect of his disposition but the essence of his person—not an attitude but an attribute.” – Paige Benton Brown
