You can absolutely have your cake and eat it too – all you have to do is drive down to the Red Fern Village in St. Simons island, where you will find the best kept secret in comtemporary fashion. Amy Smilovic, creative talent behind our beloved tibi, is from St. Simons and has tiny little outlet tucked away. Her mom is often running the shop, and it’s right next door to her father’s art studio. Get a tan and get some goods. And avoid the Neiman Marcus mark up! The deals are off the chain. And try one of these gorgeous long gowns!

Perhaps the worst thing about being a woman is having a fat day. Why are they painful to suffer through, you ask? 1) You think it’s probably in your head, but what if somehow you really did gain 17 pounds since last night? 2) You start replaying everything you ate in the past 3 days. How many calories were in that soup? HOW MANY CALORIES?? 3) No matter what you put on, you see: elephant 4) You have to walk around all day thinking everyone is staring at your hips…wondering how you possibly put on (what has now become) 47 pounds overnight. 5) Someone says “excuse me.” You hear, “excuse me, but you look like you’ve gained (what has now become) 67 pounds overnight!”
Ugh, our little heart shutters at the thought of getting through our next fat day. We challenge you to get over the ridiculous neuroses of being a girl!! We want to get fat days out of the weigh, any reader tips?

Reader Mo introduced us to Creed, “Love in White” in Bloomingdales in NYC circa 2006. Immediate cue-”Don’t-Stop-Believing”-kind-of-love-at-first-whiff. This is fairly expensive perfume ($120 an ounce), so we don’t wear it very often – and we need to know what you recommend for an everday perfume (not work – perfume doesn’t belong at work – just everyday dinners and social acticities). Long time fan of Carolina, by Carolina Herrera – it reminds so much of college frat parties, it might be time to make a change. Readers report: what kind of perfume do you wear?
