Edward Manet, “A Bar at the Folies-Bergere”
Manet’s depiction of a barmaid (names Suzen) at the Folies-Bergere. This painting inspires us because of the thoughtful, longing, yet empty look in Suzen’s eyes.

Personally, I can relate to the woman depicted in this particular painting. When I am at the bar, I normally get an empty look in my eyes as well.
